Eric J. Auger (ō zhāy) is a mixed media artist and costume designer living and working remotely in Provincetown, MA. He was born in 1969, to artistic parents who provided him and his siblings with a nurturing and creative childhood. He graduated from Rhode Island College in 1992 with a B.F.A. in Photography with minors in Graphic Design and Mass Communications. He expresses his unique style in a variety of media including acrylic paint on canvas, pastel, colored pencil, photography and digital images.

The world of commercial photography welcomed Eric after his graduation, but his strong eye for visual arts and color led him down the path to fashion and window design. After his 14-year career as a Visual Merchandiser for one of the countries top retailers, the show business bug bit Eric and he became a performance artist.

As Creative Director and Co-Owner of TEN31 Productions          for the past 23 years, he has created hundreds of handcrafted costumes. TEN31's performers have traveled around the world showcasing their one of a kind unique imagery, which when combined with theatrical choreography, leaves audiences breathless.

Eric has recently returned to his first love of painting on canvas and photography. His primary source of inspiration is Nature; life, death and decay are his muses. Fractals and Natural Geometry strongly influence his work. Through his images he invites others to see the world through his eyes and shares what nature has revealed to him.
