Eric J. Auger ~ Visual Artist
Eric J. Auger (ō zhāy) is a mixed media artist, costume designer, and performer based in Provincetown, Massachusetts. A graduate of Rhode Island College with a B.F.A. in Photography and studies in Graphic Design and Mass Communications, his work spans painting, photography, costume design and digital media.
After beginning his career in commercial photography and visual merchandising, Eric co-founded TEN31 Productions, where he has served as Creative Director for more than 26 years, designing hundreds of handcrafted costumes for internationally acclaimed theatrical performances.
Performing under the name “Erik the Red,” he also hosts The Reminiscence Bump on WOMR/WFMR and appears regularly in Provincetown’s Helltown Burlesque as well as productions at the Provincetown Theater.
